You are Valuable

You are Valuable

I want to share something to encourage us today and I believe that the Lord will speak and touch our hearts.
God knows exactly where you are. He knows where you were one hour ago and He knows where you will be tomorrow. God knows everything about you. Jesus stops and sees you. He hasn’t forgotten you, you’re not alone. Not one tear is hidden from Him. God sees and knows everything.

Luke 12:6-7 – “Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered, Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”

God is giving you attention and he says to us: ‘You are valuable, my love,’ Every day, every hour, every minute God is devoting his attention to us – 24/7 because He loves us; we are very valuable to Him.

Lord You are…..

Lord You are…..

The other day I was trying to have my time with the Lord but I was finding it really hard to concentrate on Him, my mind kept wondering, I was thinking of all the things that were ahead of me that day. No matter how hard I tried to concentrate on the Lord, my mind would wonder off again and again. Do you ever feel like that? So I did what I have done many times before I start to use the Alphabet to write down who Jesus is. Below is what I wrote just using the letter A.

Lord Jesus You are Amazing. You are Almighty. You are Always with me. You are the Anchor of my soul. You are always Available. In you I can Achieve anything. You are slow to Anger. You Answer prayer. You Align my life according to Your Will. You Accept me just as I am. I have Access into your presence All the time. You send Your Angels to watch over me.

After reading what I had written, my mind was totally on the Lord and I was feeling much stronger and much more ready to face the day. I meditated on what I had written that day and I can tell you, I breezed through the day, because my mind was centred on who He is instead of what was going on around me. Are you finding it hard to get going some days!!!! try writing down your own thoughts on who God is and meditate on them.

Relax in My EVERLASTING ARMS

Relax in My EVERLASTING ARMS

THE WORD OF THE LORD TO YOU TODAY.

“Relax in MY EVERLASTING ARMS. Your weakness is an opportunity to grow strong in awareness of My Almighty Presence. When your energy fails you, do not look inward and lament the lack you find there. Look to Me and My sufficiency; rejoice in My radiant riches that are abundantly available to help you.

Go gently through this day, leaning on Me and enjoying My presence. Thank Me for your neediness, which is building trust-bonds between us. If you look back on your journey thus far, you can see that days of extreme weakness have been some of your most precious times. Memories of these days are richly interwoven with golden strands of My intimate Presence.

Deuteronomy 33:27 The Eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemies before you, saying, “Destroy them”.

Psalm 27: 13-14 I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.

The above was my daily devotional taken from “Jesus Calling” As I pray for the Daughters of the King I felt I should share this with you. I believe there are some who will read this and it is what you need to hear for your life today. Let the Word of God feed your soul and bring peace to your heart.

Nothing can Separate you from the Love of God

Nothing can Separate you from the Love of God

Romans 8:38-39 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all Creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Joshua 1:5 No one will be able to sand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.

Isaiah 49:15-16 Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you! See, I have engraved you on the palms of My Hands.

Can I encourage you to meditate on the above scriptures. How amazing is it, that NOTHING can separate us from God’s love. No matter where we are at or what is happening or how we are feeling. His LOVE for us remains as strong as ever. Let this divine assurance of His love trickle through your mind and into your heart and soul.

Whenever you start to feel afraid or anxious about your future, repeat this unconditional promise: “Nothing can separate me from Your Love, Jesus.”

Be assured today that your Heavenly Father never abandons any of His children not even momentarily.
Today the Father would speak personally to you and this is what He is saying. “My daughter, I will never leave you or forsake you! My presence watches over you continually. I have engraved you on the palms of MY Hands”

Let God’s word drive you forward. His Word is Powerful, declare it over yourself and your family.
Always keep your eyes on Jesus.
Much love Grethe

Hold His Hand and Trust HIM

Hold His Hand and Trust HIM

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10

Yes my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from Him. Truly He is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will not be shaken. My salvation and my honour depend on God, He is my rock, my refuge. Trust in Him at all times, you people, pour out your hearts to Him, for God is our refuge. Psalm 62:5-9

Life is interesting isn’t it, I find as long as I am conscious of HIS presence I do ok and all is well with my soul. It is virtually impossible to stumble while walking in awareness of HIM. It is in Him that I find my deepest fulfillment. Fearful, anxious thoughts melt away in HIS presence.

The above verses are full of His promises, He says “do not fear, I am with you, I will strengthen you, trust Me”. So today, if you are feeling anxious or fearful or weak, ask yourself “have I been in His presence today”? And if you have not, then can I encourage you to do it NOW. Meditate on these verses and you will see your strength will return and and your fear will be gone and you will have peace in your heart.
Sending all the daughters of the King my love today.

Praise is your greatest WEAPON Psalm 9:1-20

Praise is your greatest WEAPON Psalm 9:1-20

Dear daughters of the King,
I was praying for you all I felt I needed to remind you that Praise is your greatest weapon against the devil.

Praise is not denial. The Bible never tells us to bury our pain. Instead, we are to pour it out like water from a jug.
“I pour out my complaint before Him; before Him I tell my trouble” (Ps 142:2). However once we have expressed our concerns and our painful situations etc. to God, He gives us a powerful weapon with which we can fight our battles- THE WEAPON OF PRAISE.

God wants us to destroy evil, not just try to outrun it. He dosen’t want us to only try to defend ourselves and stay alive, He wants us to push the enemy back. He wants us to say as David did “I pursued my enemies and crushed them; I did not turn back till they were destroyed. I crushed them completely, and they could not rise; they fell beneath my feet. You armed me with strength for battle; you made my adversaries bow at my feet” (2nd Samuel 22:38-40.

Praise is one of our greatest weapons of warfare. “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds” (2nd Corinthians 10:4). When we praise God, our enemies have to turn back from attacking because they cannot stand in His presence. Every-time you praise Jesus for His victory on the cross, it reminds the devil of his greatest defeat. And he hates that.

You don’t have to praise God for your troubles, but you can praise Him in the midst of them. And rest secure that He “remembers; He does not ignore the cry of the afflicted” (Palm 9:12).

7 Thoughts for more effective prayer, learning from Hezekiah

7 Thoughts for more effective prayer, learning from Hezekiah

2 Kings 19:14-19

 1. Hezekiah got alone with God.

v.14

Hezekiah received and read the letter and took time to be along with God.

Invest in time alone with the Lord.

2. Hezekiah’s prayer was immediate.

v.14-15

No ‘afterthought’ prayer prior to making plans, he immediately prayed. First he went to God.

Take some notecards out with written prayer needs and lay them out on the table before the Lord and say, “Lord I give these to you, my struggles, needs and people I care for who need you. I can’t do anything about them, but I trust and believe you.

Writing prayer needs down, why? It helps us to remember to pray, and it helps us to watch as God answers.

3. Hezekiah’s prayer was open and honest.

v.15-18

Hezekiah simply to said to God the situation.

Whenever we are open and honest in prayer the Lord sees our heart and our sincerity. Simply share with the Lord the situation you are facing.

4. Hezekiah’s prayer was honouring, humbling and respectful of who God is.

v.15

Hezekiah knew that God is all-powerful, all-knowing and always-present when we talk with Him.

We to recognise the greatness of God and honour Him as we pray.

5. Hezekiah’s prayer was bold and direct.

v.19

It is good to pray with boldness and being direct as we see with Hezekiah.

Specific prayers receive specific answers.

6. Hezekiah’s prayer was dependent.

v.19

He was dependent on God to do something.

When we pray we realise that there are things only God can do and we depend on Him to do what is impossible and believe He will.

7. Hezekiah’s prayer was with confidence.

v.19

Hezekiah had trust and faith in God because of his personal relationship with God.

We can have trust and faith in God when we have a personal relationship with Him and spend time talking with Him.

Encouraging reminders as in our walk with Christ

“True connection with one another comes when we feel heard, valued and loved.”

“Comfort in your own skin comes from living within the measure of grace God gives you.”

“Only your relationship with God through the power of Christ fuels your confidence and contentment.”

“The giant in front of you is NEVER bigger than the God who lives inside of you.”

“Faith is not there to prevent the troubles, difficulties and trials, faith is to help you through those things with stability.”

A Little Note of Encouragement

A Little Note of Encouragement

A LITTLE NOTE OF ENCOURAGEMENT

I came across this inspiring picture with encouragement today and loved it.

I thought, ‘Yes, I want to do all that, it’s so good. But how can I?’

Whenever we’re not sure about ‘how’ we need to turn to God’s Word, the Bible. These verses helps us to focus on the how and what.

TRUST in God’s timing – Psalm 37:5 “Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will do this.”

RELY on His promises – 2 Corinthians 1:20 “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ. And so through him the ‘Amen’ is spoken by us to the glory of God.”

WAIT for His answers – Psalm 27:14 “Wait for the Lord, be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

BELIEVE in His miracles – Psalm 77:14 “You are the God who performs miracles, you display your power among the people.”

REJOICE in His goodness – Psalm 13:5-6 “But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, for He has been good to me.

RELAX in His presence – Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God.”

Be blessed and encouraged!

Thankfulness

Thankfulness

THANKFULNESS

1 Thessalonians 5:18. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this
God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.

I’ve been praying and asking the Lord to give me one word that I could live by this year. I felt He gave me the word Thankfulness. So I decided I would use the alphabet from A to Z to write down some of the things I’m thankful for. I encourage you to read it and you will see that when you have a thankful heart everything else seems much easier. It is really developing an attitude of thankfulness rather than complaint and being dissatisfied with your life. It is renewing your mind.

So go ahead try it. Lord I’m thankful that YOU ARE the ……
