2013 – Hearts of Fire

This year was our 7th Conference. As always it is not easy to put into words all that takes place in a few days. The Lord laid an abundant table of delicious dishes for us to partake of. He said, “Come, taste and see that The Lord is good”. Psalm 34:8 The entree was the worship, which brought us into His presence. The main meal was the speakers who had all prepared amazing dishes of His amazing Grace and love for us. The side dishes to go with the main meal were the workshops, mainly led by the Daughter of the King team. The dessert was the sweet fellowship of the 550+ women ranging pre teen to 82 from 16 different nations. The cost of this overwhelming meal of the Love of God was the prayer of surrendering every area of our lives to Him. Our speakers were Sarah Rogers, Barb Mattson, Becky McDonald from the USA, they are all involved in WAR (Women at Risk), Pastor Faylene Sparkes from Queensland, Australia and Lynn Crow from Mexico. I give our speakers the theme of the conference, and then leave it up to them to hear from God what He wants to say to the women through them. It is so amazing how God puts it all together. Our theme for this year was “Hearts of Fire”, our key scripture was Luke 24:32 They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while He talked with us on the road and opened theScriptures to us?” It soon became apparent through the speakers and the worship that God wanted to overwhelm us with His love. It was amazing to see how God very gently revealed His love through the speakers and yet at the same time touched areas in ourlives that needed to be adjusted. Over the past 7 years I have had the privilege of seeing these women rise up as true Daughters of the King. I have seen them become givers instead of takers, doers instead receivers. They have become a voice for those who do not have a voice, the unborn child, the abused women and the homeless. Every year since our third conference we collect baby clothes for the Pro-life Centers (which have grown from 1 to 5,since we introduced it three years ago). We collect for the homeless. And this year we encouraged them to foster children. Next year we will see how many have taken up the challenge.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
